About CompFig

When you are hurt at work, the first practical question is how much you will be paid each week while you recover. The answer depends on a formula in your state's statute and a table of maximums and minimums that changes every year. Many state agencies publish the table but no calculator. CompFig fills that gap for ten states.

How we source figures

Every maximum and minimum comes from the state agency's own notice where we can reach it, or from a published rate card when the agency page is not accessible, and each result links to that source. Formulas and waiting periods follow the statute sections cited next to each step. When a state publishes new rates we add a new table; the calculator refuses to guess for injury dates we have not verified.

What CompFig is not

We are not a law firm, an insurer or a government agency, and we do not give legal advice about individual claims. Our results are estimates. Your insurer calculates your actual wage, and disputes are decided by your state's workers' compensation agency or courts.

Who writes the guides

Guides are written and maintained by the CompFig editorial team. They are reviewed against the cited sources whenever a state changes its rates. If you find an error, use the contact form or email contact@compfig.com.

Advertising

CompFig is free and is supported by advertising. Ads are labeled and never influence the calculator or the guides.
