Tennessee pays 66⅔% of your average weekly wage for temporary total disability. For injuries from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 the Bureau of Workers' Compensation set the temporary maximum at $1,488.30 and the minimum at $202.95. Injuries from the year before use $1,426.70 and $194.55.

The first seven days are unpaid, but if the disability lasts 14 days the first week is paid back. If you return to lighter work at lower pay, temporary partial benefits pay two-thirds of the difference.
