Calculations use the average weekly wage you enter. Insurers compute the average weekly wage under each state's own rules (for example, the 13 or 52 weeks before the injury, overtime, second jobs and fringe benefits), and that figure can differ from yours. Offsets such as unemployment benefits, Social Security or earnings from light duty can also change the amount paid.

Permanent disability, impairment ratings, scheduled-loss awards, death benefits and settlements are not calculated here. If your claim is denied, delayed or disputed, contact your state agency or a licensed workers' compensation attorney.
