South Carolina pays 66⅔% of your average weekly wage. The Workers' Compensation Commission set the 2026 maximum at $1,189.94, equal to the state average weekly wage. The minimum is $75 a week, unless you earned less than that.

The first seven calendar days are unpaid unless the disability lasts more than 14 days. Total disability is limited to 500 weeks in most cases, and partial disability to 340 weeks from the date of injury.
